MAZDA's Gull-wing mini coupe in Japan - Recyclable body panels another step toward recyclable cars.

With its Gull-wing doors and balanced mid -engine layout, Mazda Moto Corp.'s recently micro-mini coupe, the AZ-1, stands out in Japan's highly competitive "Kei"-car class. This wedge-shaped two-door minicar is the first model in Japan to use plastic for all of its exterior panels. The AZ-1 offers nimble handeling, the result of it's lightweight, compact design and mid-engine layout.
