With a PC-card you can use a laptop without a build-in LPT port for cnc purposes. The card can make the PCMCIA slot into a real ( not virtual, that doesn't work ) LPT port. This soft and hardware combination can with a breakoutboard controll 4 relais, 5 (end) switches and 4 steppermotors ( or servomotors ).
