Laverda Museum Rally

On April 15th and 16th 2006 the Laverda Museum was officially opened, an event enjoyed by some 330 guests.

Piero Laverda was present with his whole family. With them came many riders like Augusto Brettoni, Roberto Gallina, Nino Castellani, Fernando Cappellotto and Edoardo Dossena, all joined by their wives. Many old employees of Moto-Laverda also made th journey to join the party.

Shipped from Italy were the famous V6 racer, the first Laverda from 1947, two 1000cc prototypes from 1969, the 3 cylinder Lesmo 350 and a 1000cc works racer from 1975. Marnix van der Schalk managed to organise a large number of SFC racers in the build-up party tent.

Laverda lovers came from all over the world to join this event. People subscribed from New-Zealand, Japan, America, Canada and almost all the countries from Europe. The Laverda Museum in its present state, the imported bikes, the riders, the Italians and all the other people made this event unique in the history of our loved brand.

We have compiled a comprehensive DVD account of this wonderful event. For those not able to be here in person, it is the next best thing! Please contact the museum for details.
