Honda

"Honda actually went so far as to design and build their own 125 desmo-twin, which duly appeared in public at Modena in 1962, ridden by Luigi Taveri. Though no details of the engine were, in best Honda tradition, ever released, it appears to have utilized a four-camshaft layout, one for each set of opening and closing cams, and presumably also adopted Honda's usual four-valve per cylinder arrangement as well" [From: Ducati Motorcycles / Alan Cathcart, 1983].
"Desmodromics", Honda assured us, had been tried but abandoned because they proved less reliable and gave no more power, which was 38 bhp at 13,500 rpm for their two-fifty by TT time"
