Cenna

Physical description: There was not enough room within the 175 cc Ducati head to use rollers. Cenna used standard Ducati rockers and welded a second arm with hollow (concave) camfollowers.
The camfollower portions (pattino) were made much smaller (almost 0,5 x original). In the standard Ducati 175 cc head Cenna had to remove aluminium castingmaterial to make more space for the extra two closing rockers.
For constructing the camshaft he used a standard Ducati non-desmocamshaft.
Nb He was involved in this project (1966) before Ducati started selling desmos (1968)!
He welded complementary camlobes at both ends next to the opening cams. There are many other findings that I worked out in a separate article. I concluded that Mr. Cenna was a very gifted person and mechanic, but this Cenna-head revealed that to make a really good perfoming and reliable desmo is almost always something beyond the capabilities of a single private person. As we have seen so often.
