The right crankcase of this engine was empty, because Lino Tonti designed it with desmodromic conversion in mind from the beginning. We do not know for sure what type of desmo L.T. had in mind for this specific bike. Unfortunately production of Bianchi bikes (not only race) ceased in the mid sixties. He designed more desmo-systems. One specific system is already here on this page.
